We have tried to contact all host sites to let them know that the trucks are running behind.  Some of our contact numbers are for your churches and no one is there so we had to leave messages.  We are not sure what time the trucks will be here but it is predicted to be somewhere between 7am and 8am.  We are asking that you all be there between 7:30 and 8:00am.  Please know that we have no control over this and try to be understanding when things are not on time tomorrow.

Where does time go?

Wow it is hard to believe that we have been doing Angel Food for one year already.  Last August we placed our first order and had 503 regular units between 12 churches.  Just last month we distributed 2,469 units out of Jewel City between 26 churches.  It is amazing how much it has grown and how many families we are reaching and helping.  When we started all this back last May there were only 21 host sites in the whole state of WV and we now have 26 sites just picking up at our church.  I am so pleased to see the denominational walls come down and see how all the churches work together through this ministry.   I had an Angel Food booth at Jesus Fest and I was shocked to see how many people have never heard of Angel Food.  We still have a lot of areas to reach.  I handed out a list of all the churches that participate and the contact persons numbers,  I hope this helps people find a site closer to them.  We all know with the gas prices everyone needs all the help they can get.

Well we heard that the truck left Georgia at 6:00pm.  Still have not talked to the truck driver for the exact delivery time but I will post as soon as I know.  Keep our driver in prayer,  for his fast and safe travel.

AHHHH!!!  I just received info that the truck has  not even left Georgia as of 4:30pm today.  Turns out that some of the truckers have quit due to the gas prices so it has been very distrubing for them.  Angel Food will contact me as soon as the truck leaves Georgia with an estimated delivery time.  Please watch the site for further updates,  we will keep you updated as we here from Angel Food.  Jewel City has moved our distribution to Lincoln High School, we do not know a time yet.  I know this is a major set back for everyone and some of us will be very aggitated by this but we need to remember that all things happen for a reason and try to find the good in it.  Join us in prayer for Angel  Food,  the truckers,  all churches, and all are purchasers that we are able to continue to show the Love of Jesus through this set back.

Angel Food 2008

Well 2008 is almost here, and the new menu’s are out for Angel Food.  There has been a price increase on the regular unit and specials.  The regular unit is now $30.00 and specials are now $20.00.  Angel Food has tried not to raise the prices but with the price of gas, the cost of the food and the expense for them to get the food to us has left them with no choice.   It is still a big savings to get anywhere from $60.00 to $70.00 dollars worth of food for $30.00.  We have seen an awesome growth in the last five months that we have been doing Angel Food.   In August we had 503 regular units ordered between twelve churches and now just five months later we had 1,509 regular units ordered between twenty churches.  God is doing a great work with this ministry.  We are not only helping make it easier for people to buy food for their families but we are letting them see that it is not about the name above the door, or which church is the biggest.  It is that we are all working together to outreach to our communities and to show the love of Jesus.  I can’t wait to see what all God has in-store for Angel Food in 2008.

December Menu

The December menu is awesome.  There are some great holiday specials.  Orders are due by Sunday 2, 2007 and distribution day will be on Saturday 15, 2007.  If you print out the menu from this site, make sure to also print out the order sheet.  There was not enough room to place it on the front of the form due to all the great specials for this month.  You only need to return the order form page with your order.  Remove the lower section to keep for your self as a reminder of when to pick up your December order.

We will be having earlier order and distribution dates for November.  The orders will be due the first week of the month and the distribution will be on Saturday 17, 2007.  This is so things can all be done by the Thanksgiving holiday.  It will be the same thing for the month of December.  This is a quick distribution and then ordering time so please get your November orders in as soon as possible.

Saturday orders changed!

There will not be anyone at the church on Saturday,  October 13th from 10:00 - 2:00 to take Angel Food orders.  Terry and I will both be out of town for the week-end.  We will be at the church on Sunday, October 14th to take the orders we missed on Saturday.  Sorry for any inconvience this may cause.  Sunday, October 14th is the last day for the October orders.  Delivery day is Saturday, October 27th from 10:00am - 12:00noon.

October orders

We are now taking orders for the October menu.   If you want to place an order you can either mail your order form and money to the church at the address listed on the menu page or you can drop it off at the church Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.  Orders are taken before and after each scheduled church service.  There is a drop box on the Angel Food table across from the nursery that you can drop your orders in.   Someone will be at the church on Wednesday evening the 10th  until  8pm to take orders.  Also there will be someone at the church on Saturday the 13th from 10am -2pm taking orders.  All orders are due by Sunday the 14th.

What an awesome day we had on saturday.  It was our second Angel Food distribution.   It was exactly the way I had visioned it to be.  We were able to greet the people, talk with them and show the love of Jesus to them.  I was told by a woman who was there to pick up her food, that it ran like a well oiled machine.  She said we sure had it together.  I have had  people ask where is the ministry in this.  Just spend some time listening to the stories of the ones who say that without this they wouldn’t be able to have food for the month,  talk to the woman who says they make twenty some dollars too much to get any help with food stamps,  go into the home to pick up an order and see someone who is barely making it themselves buy a box of food for the neighbor down the street who is need,  go pick up an order from a crippled man on two canes who walks down the stairs just to give you his money because the food will really help him make it, be here when a father who has a sick two year old in the hospital  comes in to pick up his food before he goes to see his daughter because he really needs the food and be a part of the prayer for her.  It is truely a blessing in a box!!!  We had a wonderful time saturday and everything went really well.  I would like to say a special thank you to  everyone again who helped and tell you if you are looking for a ministry to get involved in this is definately a rewarding one and we can always use your help.
